Session 182: “Undeclared War: Violence Against Women” by Silvia Federici

For this Theory Tuesdays session, Daniel Morgenthaler selected and presented the essay “Undeclared War: Violence Against Women” by Silvia Federici from the summer 2017 issue of Artforum.

Silvia Federici has published her highly influential Caliban and the Witch in 2004, directly linking the rise of capitalism with organized violence against women. In this recent text, the radical feminist scholar and activist previews her latest research on the staggering acceleration of violence against women worldwide – a quotidian and widespread manifestation of new networks of control.
